“ Tranquil trumpet ” Mini Print
STORY
Maybe it’s just me, but I truly feel like there is just something special about a live performance. It’s not just hearing the notes and the words, but it’s feeling the songs and experiencing them in real time.
This paintings were inspired by a jazz show I attended in New York. It was my first time in the Big Apple and my first time experiencing live jazz. I was so excited to be there, soaking in the moment. The music was full of more life than anything that had flooded out of a speaker in my room or a car. There was passion in every note. Even the air felt alive as the sound bounced around the walls of that tiny jazz bar. It’s an experience that will always make me feel warm and fuzzy to think back on.
